How to Apply

Applications will be accepted by appointment only.

To submit an application for housing with the Arcadia Housing Authority you must have the following documents:

  • Original Birth Certificate for everyone that will be living in your household. No copies.
  • Original Social Security Card. No copies.
  • Original Florida I.D. or Driver's License for all persons over the age of 18. No copies.

Note: "No copies" above pertains to in-office appointments only. If applying by U.S. Mail send copies. Whether applying by U.S. Mail or email, you will be required to show those original documents prior to signing a lease. 

Please Note: We cannot accept an application until all of the above documents are included for each and every person in your household. 


Federal law prohibits housing discrimination based on your race, color, nation origin, religion, sex, familial status, or disability. 


In order to process your application, we will also need the following:

  • Verification of Assets form completed by your bank, if applicable.
  • Proof of all income.
  • Addresses where you have stayed or lived for the past 3 years.
  • The approval or denial letter(s) from the Department of Children & Families.
  • Proof of current income within the past 90 days and Social Security if applicable. Make sure the form has the date you started receiving your benefits (for preference points).
