IFB: Pond Restoration

Sealed Bids will be received by and at the Arcadia Housing Authority located at 7 Booker T. Washington Road, Arcadia, Florida 34266 until 3:00 p.m. EST, June 10, 2025.

Bid opening begins at 3:01 PM EST, May 9, 2025.

The scope of this project involves but is not limited to the (3) retention ponds located at:

• Behind Administration Building at 7 Booker T. Washington Road,
• Behind the units on Harris Rd. / next to 219 Friendship Ct.
• Located on the back of Pleasant Circle.

The scope of this project also involves but is not limited to then description noted by the engineer in addendum 1.
Florida Statutes require that bids submitted for construction, improvements, remodeling, or repair of public buildings be accompanied by evidence that the bidder holds an appropriate certificate of license, unless the work to be performed is exempt under Section 489.013, or the contractor is not domiciled in this state and can satisfactorily show that he will comply with Section 490.117 (2). Any contractor not domiciled in this state shall submit to the owner proof of Worker's Compensation coverage and evidence that the contractor's carrier or self-insurer has current knowledge of the contractor's intent to do business within this state.

This project is required to comply with Davis-Bacon Wage Determination Rates, HUD Standard Forms for Bidding and Construction Contracts, Equal Employment Opportunity, and any other applicable local, state, and federal regulations. These documents can be requested at the Arcadia Housing Authority.

A Voluntary Pre-Bid Conference will be held on site at 7 Booker T. Washington Road on May 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM.

All bids must be submitted in triplicated, sealed and identified on the face of the envelope in bold letters identifying the specific project bid as; PONDS CLEARING AND RECONSTRUCTION.

Bids can be hand delivered or by certified mail (optional) to 7 Booker T. Washington Road, Arcadia, Florida 34266, by June 10, 2025 at 3:00 PM. No faxed copies will be accepted. No emails will be accepted.

The owner reserves the right to waive formalities in any proposal: to reject any or all bids with or without cause. The owner reserves the right to select the proposal that, in its judgement, will be in the best interest of the Arcadia Housing Authority.
